For 20 years, the Red Emma's worker cooperative has been a critical center for radical education in Baltimore.
Now, we've started the Red Emma's Education Fund to take that work to the next level, by providing nonprofit support for Red Emma's community education work and our free events program.
We need your support in this work:
About our programs
Public events at 3128 Greenmount and beyond
As a cosponsor, we help support a year-round program of author talks and other free public programming. Through conversations about books, discussions about organizing, exhibitions of visual art, and screening of radical film, we serve Baltimore by providing an important platform for radical ideas and a catalyst for connection between local, national, and international movements.See and RSVP for upcoming events ➔Propose an event ➔Support our events programming with a donation ➔
The Baltimore Free School
We support the coordination and curation of the community education work that takes place in the classroom space at 3128 Greenmount, creating a platform for radical pedagogy and self-organized learning. We believe that by encouraging everyone to see themselves as potential educators, we can bring historically marginalized voices and perspectives to the forefront.See and RSVP for upcoming classes ➔Propose an class ➔Support The Baltimore Free School with a donation ➔
